Milwaukee Metro Polymer Clay Guild

We all enjoyed another caning demo by Beth, we made some neat leaf and flower canes.  Thanks Beth for all you do.  We also decided to keep the meetings on the first Sunday of the month, except for December.  However, we may need to switch for needs of the church where we meet, so please keep that in mind.

Our June Meeting was held on the 21st.  There were 7 members present, including two new people, welcome Erin and Michelle.    Beth and Erika shared the peices they made at classes at the Bead and Button Show, then Beth demo’d one version of kalidescope caning.  Followed by a discussion and demo of bead shapes.  Penny has volunteered to keep the website more current and add information.  So if you have any thing you would like to see on the site, please comment and the information will be sent to Penny.

Be sure to get your registration in for the Fall Clay Fest in Wausau Wisconsin.

Sept. 2-6, 2008 in Wausau, Wisconsin…time to check your calendars and begin planning…it’s going to be lots of fun!

Similar to the Cabin Fever Clay Festival held in Mayrland this year, this premiere Midwest event will be held in the heart of the Northwoods just when the leaves are turning their vibrant autumn colors! Come join in the fun! Instructors include Victoria Hughes, Julie Picarello, Layl McDill, Tony Aquino, Christi Friesen, Kathryn Ottman, Lynne Anne Scwartzenberg, Marie Segal and Lindly Haunani!

Our May Meeting was held at our new Meeting site, World Harves Community Church in New Berlin.  Alaina demonstrated covering tins.

We are excited to announce that Southeast Wisconsin has its newest Polymer Clay Group. The Milwaukee Metro PCG started meeting in November and will continue to meet on a monthly basis. We are currently meeting in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
